September 28, 2012 marked the second Art Walk for downtown Lewiston – and it was a smashing success! The Center for Arts & History counted over 1000 visitors! Inside we enjoyed music by Daniel Faller and a chance for new and return visitors to see our current exhibitions on both floors. Outside was a wood-turning demonstration courtesy of the Cambium Collective wood turner group also displaying inside. Earlier in the day, the Center hosted Tri-Cities area performing poet Jordan Chaney for a spoken word workshop. That evening Chaney performed his own works at the Blue Lantern Coffee House across the street. The following day, the Center for Arts & History hosted a brunch reception for participating Art Walk artists at the Orchid Room in Morgan’s Alley.
The Center for Arts & History is so proud to be a partner in this event with Beautiful Downtown Lewiston (BDL). We light up when we see the streets come alive with engaged people and positive energy – all in an effort to support arts and culture in downtown! Great things are happening in Lewiston, Idaho! Can you feel it?
